Prayer Before and After Study

O Creator is too large to describe in human words, the wisdom of the property you are pointing three hierarchies of angels, and in an extraordinary design which puts them in the highest heaven; different parts of the universe as well, you pass it with beauty glorious.
You, I say, who is the fountain of light and true wisdom, which is in you all the light and wisdom come, my intellectual darkness pour over your light beam is bright, and clear it from me the double darkness in which I was born, that is, sin and ignorance. Thou, which relaxes the tongues of infants (ie for those who praise you), instruct my tongue over my lips and pour blessings of grace and kindness.
Give me the sharpness in understanding various things, the ability to maintain it, the method and ease in learning, skills to see the various meanings, grace and eloquence when speaking. Show me how to initiate, guide me in the process, make the end result better job. Thou - true man and true God - the life and power for ever and ever. Amen.
